Brutus and Conagher

Brutus and Conagher live locally, about 45 minutes from us. Brutus was the first Shiloh of the family, joining 2 German Shepherds that already resided there. As I have said many times before, you can not have only one Shiloh. When Conagher was looking for his forever home, Brutus' family stepped forward and were thrilled to add another Shiloh to their doggie family.

Brutus turned one year old on Dec 7, and celebrated with his entire family! Look at the size of this boy at only one year old! And we thought Conagher was big!

Happy Birthday, Brutus!

Two buddies, just hanging out. Brutus really resembles his mama in this picture!

Remembering KodaBear 1/17/07 - 10/28/10

We mourn the loss of our true gentle giant, Brown's KodaBear of BelleGrace. Koda passed suddenly on Oct 28th at the young age of 3. It was discovered there was a tumor at the base of the skull on the cervical spine.
Koda will always be remembered for his gentle loving nature, his kind heart, his giant size of 140+ lbs, and his awesome looks. We join in with his family to mourn this tragic loss.
God Speed, Koda. We will all miss you so much, you truly left your pawprints on our hearts.

Introducing Tucson

Introducing our newest boy here at BelleGrace:
BelleGrace's Mystical Tucson

From north of the border in Canada, arriving in the snow and cold, our new boy is a stunning bi-black/cream plush. We have hoped for a male from this lineage for three years and finally the timing was right. We found we were wishing for much warmer weather and sunshine while driving to pick up this boy. Where best to find that than the beautiful state of Arizona!

Tucson is a Spanish word meaning "black base" a reference to the mostly volcanic mountains on the west side of the city. Our Tucson is mostly black, he has spice, he has attitude, he is a talker (much like a volcano). It just seemed to fit all the way around, hence his name.

Tucson is from Mystical Shilohs Jasper/Gaby litter in Canada.

Available Adults

We currently have a couple of adults available to approved "forever" homes. For more information, please visit
http://bellegraceshilohsavailableadults.blogspot.com/
Pictured above is Conagher, who is looking for a very special home. Conagher came to us from Ridgewood Shilohs. He is a very large three year old golden sable plush. Unfortunately, this boy has severe hip dysplasia, and needs a home that understands his limitations. He can function perfectly as a companion dog, one who spends his time at his master's side, as long as that does not include hiking and strenuous activity. But as a house dog, he is perfect, to alert when someone comes to the door and make a presence of size. He loves to be wherever his humans are. Conagher has had basic obedience training and is extremely willing to please. He is crate trained, and has been raised in our home with us. He would be wonderful with children but I do not know his reaction to cats. I imagine he would want to play with them, as he does not have an aggressive bone in his body.
Contact us for more information on Conagher and our other available adults

Dante' now known as Rocky

Dante' was from our T-ra/Kit litter, while still with the ISSR. One of the most heartbreaking moments is when you find out one of your beautiful pups has not passed its health testing. This is what happened with Dante'. Our most handsome boy did not pass his hips. Luckily, we had friends who had just lost their GSD, and were looking for an adult dog to bring into their home. Dante' was the perfect match and has adjusted beautifully. He is well mannered and extremely gentle with their grandchildren, even though he was not raised with kids.

This is a picture, taken this past week of our most handsome boy, now known as Rocky.

Koda Bear

In a previous post, I was thrilled to show pictures of Koda, who is from our Sampson/Maizi litter 2007. Now I have to really brag, as I had the pleasure of meeting this boy in person. I haven't seen Koda since he was 8 weeks old, and when I met him again, it was one of those jaw dropped, mouth open, wide-eyed looks. He is absolutely gorgeous! At 30.5" and 138lbs, he is a tank! I was lucky that he is also a natural model, lol. Please enjoy the photos taken below of this most handsome boy.

Outstanding Puppy Available

Loner aka Green boy from the Coz/Kohl litter is available to an approved home. This outstanding puppy was my pick of the litter. He has exceptional conformation, movement, and is developing into a beautiful boy. His coat is bright white, a thick dense smooth that feels like velvet. He has a nice broad head, perfect ears and ear set, awesome black pigment, good length of leg and body, nice tight feet, strong pasterns, and a perfect saber tail.

Available to an approved home as potential breed quality, this boy should move forward in our breeding program if he meets all qualifications. More reserved than most, he will totally devote himself to his humans, and give 110% all the time. He is cautious, and takes time to warm up to strangers, so proper socialization is a must. He has minimal prey drive, but enjoys playing. He is happiest when he is with his humans. Mostly he loves to be cuddled, and is your shadow. Loner has started puppy classes, and is working on his housebreaking skills. He is also current on all vaccines, parasite free, and was recently given an A+ at his 12 week vet exam.

We are hoping to place him in the tri-state area on a breeder's agreement.

Please contact us for more information.

BelleGrace Progeny

One of the most thrilling moments of being a breeder is when you open your email box and see pictures of a puppy that has grown up into a drop dead gorgeous adult. That is what happened last night, and it comes into our lives at such a needed time. While still mourning the loss of our Foxy, this was a bright spot that will help so much toward the healing process.
This is why we do what we do, to share this intuitive sensitive breed with others.
Please enjoy the pictures of this most handsome boy.

Koda and his owner. Look at the size of this boy, especially his head!

Relaxing in the garden, Koda enjoys life.

Looks like Koda has a favorite spot, lounging on the bed

Brown's KodaBear of BelleGrace aka Koda is from our Sampson/Maizi litter 2007. He is our Destini's brother, is located in North Carolina, and has been added to our breeding program. He has passed his health testing and is on a breeder's agreement with BelleGrace. Koda is available for stud to approved young ladies. For more information, please contact us.

BelleGrace Mourns....

We mourn the loss of our precious Foxy, one Shiloh who has brought so much to our lives. She was special in every sense, and 100% devoted to us. Her lines were special as well, and if not for us, would have been lost to the Shiloh world forever. That legacy she left is extremely important to our breeding program and we will be indebted to her forever for the pups she most lovingly raised: Grace, Libby, Kiara, and her grand-pups, Jewel, Spencer, Atreyu, Jory, Nash, Hope, Peri and Willow move forward to carry on her legacy. Several others, including Madoc, Kayla, Sampson, Darby, Precious, and Remy, have blessed their owners with unconditional love as only a Shiloh knows how to give.
We are in shock and our hearts ache for the loss of this incredible dog. But at the same time, we celebrate her life, and treasure the beautiful memories she shared with us.

Foxy will be treasured in our hearts and souls forever. Go with God, sweet Foxy, we love you so.

Tribute to Julie Ann

BelleGrace's Miss Julie Ann(Skye/Sera)
3/8/2009 - 2/22/2010

We have no control over what life hands us, we just must have faith that God always has a plan.
Julie was a very special girl, confident, outgoing, very friendly and exceptionally intelligent. She was my Allie's grand-daughter, and Allie was my heart and soul. I sent this girl knowing she was also going to be this couple's heart and soul. She left me at 8 weeks to go spend her life in Florida. It should have been a long life, but genetics handed her a horrible twist. As hard as we try, as much as we plan, research, and test, sometimes that is just not enough.
Julie left us, setting a perfect example of bravery. She faced her issues with courage, patience, determination and stamina. No one could have asked for more from this girl.

Godspeed, Miss Julie Ann. May you be free from pain, and be able to run and play like a whole dog in the fields of heaven. Your grandma would have been so very proud of you. Now you join her at the Rainbow Bridge. You have touched everyone you have ever met, and will be missed by all.

The very special lines behind her from her dam and sire will produce some incredible size when taken to Yukon.

Winter is Wonderful!

Especially if you are a polar bear. So maybe we don't have polar bears here in the Mid-Atlantic region, but we have Shiloh babies that sure resemble polar bear cubs.

The Coz/Kohl litter has five white babies and two dual babies that are too cute for words. Take a look at Mr Silver. We have nicknamed this boy Banat, which means "Bold as a Bear".
Fits him, don't you think?
