Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. ~Anonymous

To me, the above saying speaks volumes. And to see these pictures, I can say I gasped with amazement! They definitely took my breath away.
I knew that Grace, our Foxy daughter had the potential to produce some incredible pups but never in my widest dreams did I expect such breath-taking beauty.

Atreyu, who resides in Canada, is maturing into an all masculine shepherd that will definitely turn heads....and he is only 15 months old! Just imagine what he is going to look like at the age of three! And to think he has already passed his health testing!
This is a boy that we are going to be watching very closely. Bred properly, I see exactly what I was aiming for, the recreation of our Foxy, a true old line Shiloh.

Enjoy the pictures, and beware, you may need a towel!

The Beauty of Autumn

October can be a beautiful month here. Bright blue cloudless skies, crsip morning air and the flaming shades of orange, red and yellow leaves.
Add a couple of Shilohs, and look out! Pictures galore!

Look at this picture of Sera, our Allie/Grizz daughter, laying outside, enjoying the autumn air. This was taken mid-October 2009.

Here is Conagher, beside a local lake, enjoying the crisp cool autumn air. The trees are just starting to turn colors in this shot, taken the first part of October 2009.

A Letter from Camp by Jordan

BelleGrace's Jordan went to visit her future beau at Imladris Shilohs, to get aquainted and spend a nice summer vacation on the farm. Below is her letter of her adventures while at Camp Imladris, written by camp director Avril as dictated by Jordan.

If you remember Alan Sherman, you may recognize this.
Feel free to sing along

Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah
Here I am at Camp Imladris
There are new friends to be meeting
But my toe has put a kibosh on our greeting

There are lots of rocks and rootsies
One of them grabbed my little tootsie
It is broken, I am limpy
And no one wants to play with one who's gimpy

There's a lady here who feeds me
She's always saying, "You poor baby"
She puts me in the kennel and crate
If she let me run she wouldn't have to say it

There's a Shiloh, her name is Angel
She likes to sniff me like I'm a bagel
She's independent and gets in trouble
Like when she leaves the yard to play in the big puddle

Ariel is another Shiloh
She seems to like me, oh I do hope so
When I am better I want to play
Oh, I hope that soon will come that day

Then there's Strider, he's a big boy
He is like a cuddly stuffed toy
When I play bow, he acts so comically
He only puts one paw out so he will not squish me

There are red dogs with funny ears here
If you go near them, they snarl and sneer
They act like they have all the riches
And the lady here calls them "the little bitches"

Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah
Here I am at Camp Imladris
There are new friends to have some funning
And as soon as I am better, I'll be running.

Love, Jordan

Mirror, Mirror, on the Wall.....

The Sera/Konrad litter is two years old! It is so hard to believe, where did that time go?
This picture was taken on July 4th, of Sera, and her daughter Joi. Joi is our Sera clone. She is the spitting image of her mother, a mirror reflection.
Sera is a very regal, dignified dog, and always carries herself much like her dam, Allie did: with poise and class.
Joi is justly named, she is a very happy girl, still much like a pup, and loves to tease.
When they are outside running and playing together, it is sometimes hard to tell the two apart. Pending health testing Joi will carry on the Alleluia line for BelleGrace.

Silver Sable?

Whisper's adult undercoat @ 4 months

A Silver Sable Shiloh? This color is one of the most rare in the Shiloh world, and most sought after. This girl is from our Skye/Sera litter and after much discussion with old time breeders, we have come to the conclusion she is indeed a silver sable.
Her undercoat is white/silver with a few shades of platinum. An Allie grand-daughter, she has the potential to be a real beauty.
Introducing Whisper.....

Jeepers, Creepers.....

....where'd you get those Peepers?

This is a favorite little song we sing to Peeps.

Her formal call name is Kohl, and she is registered as
BG's Fuel'n The Fire For BearPaw. When she first came to us three years ago, she peeped like a baby bird, so the nickname Peeps or Peepers stuck. Besides, it is a fun name, and one she really responds well too.

Peeps is from the Venus/Kit litter. Although a little small in stature, she is a powerhouse in health, attitude and temperament. Her siblings are all at or well over 100 lbs. Peeps boasts OFA normal elbows, her heart has been vet cleared normal and her pennhip scores are L .29 R .27 No DJD. With those excellent hip numbers, this places Peeps above the 90th percentile.

>

Peeps was solid black when she first arrived, but has slowly developed a few silver hairs on her feet and lower legs. She has the most luxurious smooth coat, it feels like velvet. With her two solid black siblings, we anticipate that she carries the solid black recessive, and hope to pull that when she is bred this fall. Watch for her breeding announcement later this year.

WOW!!!!

Atreyu, aka Trey from the Toran/Grace litter, has grown into an absolutely stunning male. And he can now boast passing pennhip scores, L.45 No DJD, R.37 No DJD, as well as OFA normal elbows. Trey lives at Mystical Shilohs on Canada and is on a breeders agreement with BelleGrace. Trey is proudly registered with the NSBR/NKC and will be available selectively to approved ladies.
Just look at the pictures below and see how handsome. Toran and Grace, you did good!

Trey poses for the camera

Ok, how does this look?

Trey loves his Dad!

Anyone for herding practice?

May is a Wonderful Month!

May has been a great month so far. Although not Shiloh related, our daughter has graduated from College with a BSN. As a Registered Nurse, she will have no problem finding a job. Congratulations Jenn, on a job well done and well worth the hundreds of hours studying! We knew you could do it!

Introducing Tory!

This is beautiful Tory, a Toran/Honey daughter. Tory is all shepherd, intensity and drive, respectful, and loving, willing to please with a heart as big as the ocean. She does need time to warm up to people though, and tends to be cautious.
Unfortunately, Tory needed to be returned to us, as her owners will be leaving for an extended stay in England. So she will stay here, with hopes a new home can be found.
She has been started in obedience class, and will work toward her CGC this coming summer. She lives in our home with the rest of our crew and especially likes playing with our daughter's Shiloh, Mint. She is a happy girl, loves belly rubs, and is a big tease.

March update: Tory is going home! Her owners have had a major change in plans and have decided to by-pass England so they can reclaim Tory! This just goes to show how these Shilohs become such a valuable part of your family and wiggle their way into your heart and soul.
Congratulations Tory, and ofcourse to Tory's owners.

Angel's Angel

Look at Angel now! Angel was adopted by her "angel" and now lives on a large farm in WVA. She shares her home with her human mom and dad, as well as two other Shilohs and two Irish Setters. She has 3 acres of fenced pasture to run and play in with her buddies!
Angel had a rough life, starting out in a large breeding kennel in NY. She came to BelleGrace with badly infected feet. I had offered to take her to get her out of the kennel, and try and heal her wounds. Unfortunately, she also came with a heart murmur, so she was removed from our breeding program. We got her foot issues under control, and then started hunting for the perfect home for her to live out her life. Afterall, Angel deserved that!
Along came a woman, wanting to adopt her. Angel went to live with her, was spayed and started her new life. After a few minor setbacks, Angel has finally settled into a routine and by looking at the picture above, appears quite content. Sleeping on a soft bed definitely suits Angel.
Congratulations Angel, and thank you Avril, for offering your love, patience, and understanding to a dog that so needed her very own "angel".
March update: Angel went to the Reading PA show as a visitor to cheer on the other Shilohs in attendance. Way to go Angel!
